Excellent Class Tonight – But lessons to be learnt!!!
Tonight was an excellent class despite the fact that it was on track not to be…. I was running late..
The warm up went great until i realised that i had messed up the choreography a little. However to my surprise i managed to blag it a bit and the class didn’t realise!!! – I THINK – ooh hope you are not reading this. But even if they (you) did …..they seem to enjoy it .
All was going well and I actually felt confident and in the ‘zone’. But my feet were absolutely killing me . I just don’t seem to be able to tolerate my jazz pumps for more than a couple of tracks without severe cramp. I definitely have to sort that out because i had to take them off for the second night in a row and that is just not professional, especially when you are wearing bright pink, purple and blue stripy socks!!
I didn’t use a head mic tonight but to be honest it didn’t seem to make any difference – my sign language seems to be coming on. I think last night helped me to see that you don’t need to verbally prompt. Eve who is an excellent instructor just used signs yesterday and everyone followed her without any problem and her choreography was much more complicated than mine.
Around track 8 the music began to skip……fortunately i had a back up in the car so the class had a slight respite while i went out to retrieve it from the car. On the way making a mental note to myself to be more prepared and take better care of my CDs!!!
I also need to put my playlist onto my ipod as that seems an easier way to carry my music and all of the venues seem to support it
I feel I have improved from a 6 to an 8 in my cueing and confidence but Pippa reckoned a 9.5 !! WOW.
Im loving it……and cant wait to see how it goes with real live paying customers!!!!
